Today I went to Surfside. I listened to the Astros game on XM on the way down (you guys think Milo is bad? Bad? Have you been forced to listen to the Cubs' broadcasters? Have you? These people don't even pretend to follow the game. And Ron Santo? Ron Santo may be the only broadcaster in the world who's better to listen to when his team screws up, which is good since he's a broadcaster for the Cubs).
Anyway, I got out of the car to visit my client and I and I were behind. I got in the car and I and I were ahead. How cool was that?
On the way out of town I stopped at the seafood market and bought some shrimp, some scallops, and a snapper. Tonight I grilled the shrimp while watching a combination of the Texas Rangers (in Ingles) and Swe/Par on a Spanish channel. I thought for a long time I was watching Chivas.
Anyway, here it is: the Astros are cooking, what's your 2d favorite recipe? We're all manly, more or less, so our first favorite is open refrigerator, open Shiner, pour into a frosty glass. So what's your 2d favorite recipe?
Alright, here's mine. For Saturdays, noon. Take some pita bread and heat it.
Stuff it full of deli roast beef, feta cheese, black olives with pits, lettuce and a bit of tomato. drench the filler with just a bit too much olive oil before it goes into the pita bread. open the refrigerator, open a Shiner, find a frosty glass. Don't break a tooth on the olives. Caramelized onions would make this the best food on earth, but I'm too lazy.
I have been told by the Greeks I know that Bulgarian feta is the best available. i haven't bought any.
