I think I saw somewhere that he's expected to start against the Astros. So two of the starting pitchers in the KC series should be former Astros.

he'll probably shut us out.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw him penciled in too.

He pitched decently to an offensively challenged Angels lineup...

Quote:

The 30-year-old veteran right-hander, pitching in the Majors for the first time in a little over a year, did just that in his Royals debut, allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings. He walked three and gave up six hits, three of which came in the first inning.

Despite his solid effort, Duckworth wound up on the losing end as the Angels and Jered Weaver handed Kansas City its fourth straight defeat, 4-1, on Tuesday night.

i liked Duckworth, and he pitched well in RR. my Phillies scount friend told me that Bowa totally destroyed his psyche with his rants and tirades.

I watched most of the game last night and he looked pretty good.  The Angels are not the greatest lineup but they can hurt bad pitchers.
