I know it is WAY early and him leading in the balloting means very little at this point, but it occured to me today... Phil Garner is the manger of the NL All-Star team this year, thus has a strong say in who is on the reserve squad... could he possibly not choose Biggio?
I think this is particularly significant to Biggio's HOF cred if he were selected to the All-Star team late in his career like this, helping to remind potential voters that he is still one of the best 2B in baseball even at his age.
Just thought I would bring this up since it just occured to me. I would have to say if I was a betting man, Biggio is a lock for the All-Star team this year. (and it isn't a token spot either, cause his numbers are very good among NL 2B)
