Is something happening with Ezequiel Astacio?
« on: May 16, 2006, 08:31:00 pm »
I received an e-mail from the Round Rock Express today talking about the 3-1 win over the Portland Beavers.  Here's the interesting part,
Quote:

Right-hander Chris Baker replaced starter Ezequiel Astacio who went three innings and gave up Portland's only run, a solo homer from Jack Cust that made it 3-1 in the third.

Why did he only go 3 innings?  Is there a trade possibly being work on or is there and injury and Zeke is going to be called up?

How many pitches did he throw?  He hasn't started a game in a while, maybe he just got tired.

The Express hoped he'd be able to go 4 as he hasn't been a starter lately.  He was a little wild and got tired at the end of the 3rd so they pulled him.
Goin' for a bus ride.
