Nothing like seeing Billy challenging people. He blew the Mets lead in the 9th and the Mets went on to eventually lose in extras to Washington!
Make a runnnnnnnn!!!!

In other news, Carlos "Belting" Beltran is batting a .000.  He's drawing walks like nobody's business, and has many a Run, but has yet to get a Ribbie or even hit so much as a single.

I'm not quite ready to laugh at Beltran yet.

Yeah, Budweiser Girl, don't you have anything better to do?

I'm just pointing out that not every player is off to a good/quick start.

Do you want that pic or not???

Of course, unless you want to send something else.

Scratch that, I'll take the pic.

I'll laugh at Beltran now, and shut up when he gets going.

As for J Lay, I can't laugh at his performance.  Instead I hang my head and force back the tears.  Hopefully he'll get his act together.  He did have 1 good at bat yesterday in which he battled for a walk, but that's all he has done on offense to date.

Beltran got his first RBI of the season, and another run, but has yet to record a hit.

You're not the only one. Mets fans, in their infinite class, have been lustily booing Beltran after every out.

Pedro Martinez now has as many RBI as Carlos Beltran.  And more hits.

Now they're cheering Beltran after his clutch two run bomb in the secenth. In fact, the fans are cheering for a curtain call. Carlos rolled his eyes and promptly sat down.

Gotta love them Stem fans.

Three pitches into the next at bat, Franco finally talked Carlos into taking a verrah reluctant curtain call.

Saw it.  The laughing stops now.  I liked the fact that Carlos refused to do the curtain call at first.  But he realized he wants to enjoy their good will while it's there.

Good luck Carlos.  Your purgatory has ended, at least for me.  No one deserves the New York fans.
