That sounds about right. The way things had been going of late, I can't say I'm surprised by the move. I would have to assume that Chavez starts in AAA until Hernandez and/or Lopez gets hurt.
phew. for a minute there, I lost myself

What a turn of events.  Pretty shocking that Munson's going to be the backup.  What's the over/under that he'll last more than a month behind the plate?  Who is he going to catch?  Roy I suppose.

I'll never forget seeing Chavez at 1b in the 18-ining classic.

Of course, I've forgotten some details.  Seems like Raul dug out a throw to make a nice play.  I think he had a liner hit at him, too.

If you can catch, you can play 1B.  Chavez has a good glove.  Most people forget he started out his career as a shortstop.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Why is this shocking?  Writing has been on the wall for two weeks.

How will they treat catcher this year. How is Munson defense?
Chuck Norris once ate three 72 oz. steaks in one hour. He spent the first 45 minutes having sex with his waitress.

below average.  He's spent a lot of time in the past few years playing other positions.
