It was a pretty interesting view into Oswalt's life outside Houston and the MLB. Not that it's a surprise but he seems like a down to earth guy, based on the article. The guy is putting his new bulldozer to work, building what I'm sure is a tank, but Olney called a lake, on his new 1000 acre spread. Either way, it's still alot of work.
There is a story about Roy's grandfather working lumber until he neared 80 and then growing water-melons, weeding his 40 acre water-melon patch by hand because his tractor equipment was ill-equiped for the job.
Basically, it was one of those warm-fuzzy articles where you get to feel like you now have insight into what makes the guy tick and how he inherited his tireless work ethic. At the very least I can appreciate why he says, in essensce, he doesn't dread life after baseball but he loves the competition.
