NL Central Unpredictable
« on: March 16, 2006, 05:00:54 am »
Folks seem unhappy with the writers' picks for the NL Central. The Astros should therefore move to the AL West, giving each division five teams and making both races easier to call.

There are so many benefits. The difficulty of travel to the West Coast should be made up for by the shared travel ease when playing the Rangers. In fact, the Astros could begin to play outdoor baseball in Texas on a regular basis. They might even be titled Western Division champs for the first time in 20 years.

Has anyone suggested this to Drayton? Who has his number?

OMG, I just thought of this... Bagwell could DH and wouldn't have to learn to throw sidearm or underhanded!! This is awesome. Instead of moving him to the AL, move the AL to Houston!!!

This is such a great idea. Does Bud Selig even know about this? Granted, there's a chance this might not get done for '06, so I want to send Bagwell some video to help his throwing. Does anyone know his address? My tips for him are still top secret, so all I can say for now is Revenge of the Nerds,  Lamar , javelin!

Has anyone suggested this to Bagwell? I came up with this all by myself, but if someone else thought of it too, cool. We can share the credit as long as you can get me in touch with him.

By the way, totally non-BB, but does anyone know General Abizaid's cell#? I've got some ideas about Iraq he might not have thought of. Let's just say they might not like Bush, but everybody loves Benjamin Franklin if you know what I mean!

Yawn.  Every morning I get up, grab some coffee, fire up the PC, and check OWA.  When the first post I read sucks ass, that is a bad omen.  Not as if I'm superstitious or anything.

It's a good idea, but here's one better:  MLS.  That's right, the Astros could become the MLS team for Houston, and we wouldn't have to change their name.  I think Drayton's been thinking about this, because there was a Mexican League friendly played at MMPUS this spring.  Bagwell was supposed to be an excellent high school soccer player, so it works for him, too.

Astros reminds Mexican-Americans that they don't have a space program.

I don't think they'd buy tickets.

Muy bien.

Looks like Pius X, by the way.  They must have believed you were the father.

Waldo can change BL's post count.

And yes, the articles are all archived somewhere...I think No? has them.

Congrats.  Hope he's happy about that.  Is he going to play ball? Coach McGee is a good guy and runs a pretty strong program.

you know how whenn you where a kid playing ball and they put the ones who really sucked in the out field  . well they should create a position for bagwell where he never has to throw at all. have a group of stat people plot all ball games ever played and place him in the exact positon where no ball has ever fallen. he gets gold glove for going a whole season without making an errot.. brilliant
welcome back nice to wake up with a post like that!
forever is composed entirely of nows

Like so many before him - James Dean, River Phoenix, Mark Bolan, Terence Trent D'Arby and Danny Bonaduce - Breedlove's light burned bright, but oh so short.  It'll be cool to have him back in the fold.

Listen, if Breedlove is some legend from a past era, so be it.  I still reread the post and see nothing but redone takes on old threads.

Haven't seen him in years. T-Bone's in County, bitch.

Seriously, Andy, that was a one-time thing and I've told you I'm sorry. I swear he talked about you the whole time. It was all "Zipper's so vibe!"

By the way, we're getting together to drink mimosas and watch the full season of Project Runway in our underwear. We'll each be playing a cast member. Come on by... if memory serves, you'd make a great Chloe.
