Personal news (non-BB)
« on: January 09, 2006, 11:04:42 pm »
Just wanted to share with y'all, since this is one of the longer online group associations I've got... as of Christmas Day, in Luzern, Switzerland, I am engaged

No date set, other than planning starts "after I pass the CPA exam" which hopefully will be a year or so from now. So anyhow... yay!

So that gives you about a year before you get fitted for the ball-and-chain ankle bracelet.  I'm just kiddin' ya... Congratulations.

Congratulations!

And good luck with the exam... I'll spare you the "back in my day" stories about how much harder it used to be...

Thanks, all! Simles have been omnipresent for quite awhile now, and I expect them to endure.

MM: but of course things were more difficult Back In The Day. Wouldn't expect them to be anything BUT. I bet you made tickmarks with your own blood, eh?

Of course.  Fortunately, now that I'm in management, I can use my staff's blood instead.

Congradulations, and best of luck!  Warn your new spouse that during tax season you won't be home between Jan 15, and April 15.  My wife has done this to me for years.

Et tu?  I actually don't mind my wife working all the time, every day during that time.  I actually get some time to do some things around the house.

It got worse after she went solo, and opened an office at home. Now I have to be QUIET!  And I can't go anywhere (golf course).  She is a true card caring C.P.A. (Certified Pain in the Ass) and I couldn't live without her.

I get the same thing from my accountant/wife, though there is some encouragement to get the deductions out of the house for a while.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

April 15th and beyond, with the audit side of it. It's already begun: I get to spend 5-9 weeks in Enid, OK, starting week after next. Yeehaw.

That's a long time to wait before even starting the planning.  We're getting married in September but we'd do it tomorrow if we could.

Congratulations!

Holy Smokes!  I do my share of time in Enid as well.  I'll probably be there for a few days in a couple of weeks.

While you're up there, go see the Medford, OK, Cardinals play, and give them a cheer from the Card family.  My Dad grew up there, my grandparents lived there their whole adult lives, etc.

OK, this comment about you "doing things around the house" and your signature relating to "bodily fluids" just collided in my brain and I threw up a little in my mouth.

Thanks, I just might do that.  They have a baseball stadium in Enid.  It's actually really nice, believe it or not.  Only high school and American Legion teams that play there, but it's nicer than most lower-level minor league parks.

Might just do that

I don't suppose there's some kind of a pay-as-you-go gym in/around Enid, is there? 24 Hour Fitness doesn't list any OK locations, unfortunately.

Don't know about a gym.  But there is a strip bar there now, so anything is possible, if not likely.

Right.  Three-point-two brew, at five dollars a pop.

Anyway, to Holly, congratulations.  It's almost never too late for domestic bliss.  Here's to hoping he's not a wild one.  Well, not a real wild one, anyways.
