Amen. The thought that I am currently pondering is why not leave Berkman in LF, let the OF stabilize, and platoon Lamb with Bagwell, assuming he can play. Even if he can play, I suspect he won't be the iron-horse he once was so it seems like a good way to take advantage of Lamb.
This year pitching and OF's seem to be moving at a premium. Both can be explained by the fact that both are in short supply this offseason. Next off-season is an entirely different situation. Next off-season is going to be, I suspect, a good year to be buying on the FA market. Potential FAs are (and my appreciation to Pravata for providing the link):
