Purpura's negotiating skills
« on: December 20, 2005, 04:24:37 pm »
In spite of "contract offers from multiple teams ... nearly indistinguishable" what sent Garciaparra to the Dodgers was "All the chills and memories I had from my childhood" and "French dip sandwiches".  I don't see how we can expect Purpura to negotiate around that.  Coincidently the Dodgers are also looking to trade for a power-hitting left fielder and "adding a starting pitcher is now the top priority..."  Should be a snap, apparently these types are lying all over the place.  Can swing a cat without hitting one.
