I am more of reader than a writter on this website, but I have a few things I want to get off my chest.

To Mr Purpura,
As said on Happy Gilmore:
I'm stupid, you are smart
I was wrong, you were right
You are the best, I am the worst
You are good looking, I am un attractive

Anyways, I am sorry for thinking you were a lame duck do-nothing GM. I am sorry for blameing you for putting too much faith in the young guys.

To Drayton,
I am sorry for thinking Billy Wagner was right about you. You proved you were willing to spend money to put a winner on the field. I may disagree about not picking up Kents option or not pursuing Alou or Burnitz. Looking back, it is probably for the best that you didnt blow the farm to go after Soriano from the Rangers, or Dunn from the Reds. I am just happy to see you hold the NLCS trophy and bring a World Series to my hometown. I wish my Grandfather would have lived to see it. Thanks for a fun year, I cant wait for spring training.

I have one more thing to say, its a little off the subject but I have to say it, especially since you never responded to my emails, how dare you. Ryne Sandberg, you may be in the HOF now, but you suck at the prediction business and can you be anymore biased when it comes to the Cubs. After the All Star break, you picked the Cubs to win the Wild Card when they werent even second in the division(Homer). You said the Cardinals would beat the Astros because they had better starting pitching, you must not have factored in those small details like ERA and post season appearances. Picking the Cardinals was no big surprise but you really had no idea what you were talking about in your analysis.

The Astros were nothing but class this year and I am thankful for all the fun, Peter gamons said it perfectly when he practicaly yelled at the screen that the Astros showed a lot of guts this year. Thanks Astros, for the guts.

I have said the few things that I wanted to say but I know there are others who write on this website that should come forward and come clean too.

Well that's a nice sentiment, but I don't see how we'd know who they were. If only there were some way to find out who these individuals are.

An honest post! I too, at the begining thought the GM Purpura was at most, an Organization fill-in(suck-up). But after finding out that he has had experience with our youth movement(younger players), I have come to respect him! Very good job this yr! I look forward to the future with him and with him getting Nolan Ryan involved in a MAJOR LEAGUE capacity.

On Ownership...He was there ALL YEAR!!!

On Sandberg...U were the HAMMER, he is the nail! CLAP!CLAP!

I never bashed the Astros. I just disagreed with the offseason moves as I originally said. I don't mind the heat for my thoughts, but there are some that I have read, like those links, that need to really get on a knee and slap themselves.

I don't know with what other HUMANS you associate, but I don't randomly form opinions without knowing the facts. Perhaps that's just me though.

not until the last few yrs....but I never said I was the " all knowing" anyway. So unlike some people, I did not know anything on the GM except him being with the Organization for a period...thats when I looked into it.I did not hate the guy.

Hell I made my mea culpas months ago. I had doubts that the team would compete when it was compiled and the team did nothing in the first two months to make me think differently. But this team had a lot of heart and it goes to show that great pitching can overcome spotty hitting.

I still have no idea what to expect out of this team for next season. If Roger and Bagwell don't come back, the team is going to have to find players to take those important spots. And even if Roger and Bagwell come back, I'm not sure what the team is going to get from them. I'm concerned about Lidge. He has a long offseason to think about what must have been a disappointing performance from him. And there are lots of other question marks.

But regardless of what moves the Astros make or don't make, I am sure that the team will be competitive. That is just the nature of the players that are on this team.

I think Lidge learned a lot during this postseason and he's gonna come back next year even more unhittable than he's been before because of it.
