Joke? Toy stadium?  When's the last time a WS game was 1-0?  I looked some, closest I found was Marlins 2-0 over Yankees. Never underestimate great pitching and crappy hitting.

The roof being open supresses offense.  Everyone knows that.  Its why it was in the best interests of baseball to have it open, unlike the Astros who like to close it to generate all those Crawford Box cheapie home runs.

Almost 10 years ago, in the '96 Series, according to baseball-reference.com  Yankees took the Bravos 1-0 in Game 5. So about 10 years have passed.

I don't think Minute Maid will ever shake it's reputation thanks to the first year here and all the mediots still harping on it.

Also don't forget 1991 Game 7, which some say was the greatest in WS history.
"Ground ball right side, they're not gonna be able to turn two OR ARE THEY, THROW, IS IN TIME!!! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE TURN BY BRUNTLETT AND EVERETT, AND THEY CUT DOWN MABRY TO END THE GAME, AND THE ASTROS LEAD THIS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THREE GAMES TO ONE!!!!!"

I saw some statistics, that I wish I would have kept, a few weeks ago. They showed that the number of runs scored in MMP had been dropping since the first year and that now it ranked like 9th (?) as far as least number of runs scored this year. I'm not sure of those stats so don't hold me to it but I guess the point is that after the first year pitchers started learning how to pitch and now we are not that different than any other stadium as far as total number of runs allowed.
