I'm gonna go out on a limb and suggest that those fellers enjoyed some brewery-fresh Budwiesers before the interview.  It's game time!

Pretty funny stuff.

I bet that was enjoyable hangover viewing for those two.

No doubt about the Buds.

I do have sympathy for them. It hurt when the Braves punked us on the last Astrodome game. I'm sure this hurts just as much.

It would be great, though, to get to play them for the inagural game in the new crib and punk them again!

It's a fucking MULTI-PURPOSE STADIUM.  You'd think that every player in Cardinals history had lined up, boarded planes, and all of those planes had immediately crashed after take-off.  Also, I realize Orlando Cepeda won an MVP in STL, but he didn't even play 3 full years there.  I think most people identify him way more as a Giant than a Cardinal.  Then again, maybe if I drank as much as they had, I would identify him as an Arizona Cardinal.
"Ground ball right side, they're not gonna be able to turn two OR ARE THEY, THROW, IS IN TIME!!! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE TURN BY BRUNTLETT AND EVERETT, AND THEY CUT DOWN MABRY TO END THE GAME, AND THE ASTROS LEAD THIS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THREE GAMES TO ONE!!!!!"

jeez I thought it was great....thanks for the link but I wasn't laughin one bit...been there ...done that....just glad I''m not there now.....
Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

The most classic part was the giddy couple in the background near the end.

I liked the part when he was talking about how great Busch is, and then sadly said "Shea stadium is next. Then it will all be over," as though that were not a good thing.

That part confused me. Was he saying that Shea is a good stadium? Even drunk, I can't imagine anyone thinking that.

It seemed that way. I can see where he's coming from. I've been to Shea several times, and always enjoy going. It's dirty, disgusting, unfeeling, ugly, soulless, and generally morbid. It's a one of a kind type of place, and classic in its own way. When it goes, it will be the end of an era. Again, that's a good thing, but it's still the end of an era, which has an inherent sentimentality about it.

My wife grew up on Long Island, so I always made a point of scheduling trips to visit her parents when the Astros were in town. I HATED Shea. By far, the worst stadium I've ever been to, even worse than old Arlington Stadium. I suppose I can see the point about the end of an era, but that's such a distant afterthought for me, it doesn't matter. Besides, are there any definite plans for the Mets to move?

Yeah, they're building a nice new stadium right  next door. They'll break ground next spring, it should be completed by 2009.

That is pathetic in an amusing way.  At no time during that endless clip am I convinced that they are really crying.  They were working it up for the camera which made it all the more pathetic.  Are they using that as chick bait?  If a loved one passes, then ball your eyes out.  If you are getting a new stadium, suck it up or go somewhere private.

One of the best scenes from The Godfather:

Johnny Fontaine: <whimpering> "Oh Godfather, I don't know what I'm going to do..."

Don Corleone: <grabs Johnny by the shirt collar> "You can ACT LIKE A MAN!!"
"Go with Christ" - Eric "The Dawg" Cartman
