Thom Brenneman

Had himself a most excellent 7th inning. Not only did Lance Berkman bang a single off the LF wall after hitting that homer, but Lance Berkman ran past Jose Cruz, Jr. at first. However, Lance Berkman smarted up a bit, and morphed into Morgan Ensberg just in time to get tagged out stretching that single into a double.

Why is this guy in the booth? Does he tug on Brenly's nutsack to see if they can drop for a less feminine sound? Or is he there to just remind Steve Lyons to keep his pants on? Which one of them has that Cameron Diaz-like giggle? Guh.

Bring on Wednesday! Go get 'em Roy!

Yeah, I caught the Jose Cruz Jr. thing too.  Brenly is surprisingly good to me, because I thought he was pretty bad on the Cub broadcasts I saw this year.  Maybe it's just that he seems that much better because of who he's sitting next too.  I second the go get 'em Roy!

Hey, let's just hope Fox doesn't have Joe Buck and Tim McCarver doing the game!
"Ground ball right side, they're not gonna be able to turn two OR ARE THEY, THROW, IS IN TIME!!! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE TURN BY BRUNTLETT AND EVERETT, AND THEY CUT DOWN MABRY TO END THE GAME, AND THE ASTROS LEAD THIS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THREE GAMES TO ONE!!!!!"

The TV is without a doubt going on mute for the rest of the series.  They were smoking Eckstein's and Pujols' poles before the 9th.  Can you imagine??????

That would be awful.  Buck would be awash in his own secretions.  "I get to see another game in historic Busch Stadium!"

I gotta say, though, as bad as the TV guys were, particularly with their relentless foreshadowing of the homer (speaking of which, what's with that commericial they keep running of Poohole's walkoff off Harville?), I'm glad I wasn't listening to Milo during the homer.  I can just picture that classic dissapointed voice of his, where he calls the play in short, listless breaths.  It would have stayed in my head for weeks.  Just imagining it is bad enough.
