Did anyone notice after baggy's base knock...
« on: October 05, 2005, 11:05:43 pm »
The camera went to Drayton and he offered a quick and stern downward chop motion to Bags.  Was that a "Chop this Mother fuckers"?  or was it some sort of 'Hail Ceaser' type motion meaning- "Your the man Baggy"???  (Maybe I've been watching too much Rome)
Shocks...Pegs...Lucky!

If you're going for a Rome thing it might have been a "well done, see you at the orgy later." hand chop.

It's Wednesday night, so maybe Drayton was inviting him to church.

Did anyone notice Orlando Palmero's zebra face? Did he pass out and get attacked with a Sharpie?

Yea, I kept freezing the picture and zooming in to figure out what the hell that was all about.  I'm glad you said something, I was beginning to wonder if all the sugar and saturated fat from todays game was festering somewhere it shouldn't be.

In all seriousness I've been noticing that for awhile.  I finally paid attention long enough to figure that it's just his facial hair.  Looks like his beard is pretty damn spotty so the 5 o'clock, no more like 3 o'clock shawdow is what's doing the trick...at least that's what it looks like to me.

It's not facial hair, it is kind of like a light red scar.  I stood right next to him at the Astros Wives gala, and it was really apparent then.  It almost looks like he has just been slapped, but it is permanent.

In that case, it could be any number of skin conditions.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Could be, though rosacea is most common in menopausal women.  NTTAWWT.

I was watching the game on 50" HDTV. There were grey/black stripes on the lower half of his face. No rashes or anything like you other folk seem to be seeing. It looked like either black marker that was faded from trying to wash off, or charcoal dust.

Yeah, that's what I saw too.  Bluish-grey.  It was all over the barrel of his bat as well.

In that case, it could be pine tar or some other grip enhancer.  If it was on his bat, it was on his hands and easily could hav gotten on his face.

Then conceivably, he could have be pulling a Braveheart.  They all should smear shit on their faces...

Phil Garner, I loves ya.  Always have.

They may take this game, but they will never take our series!

I have seen him up close a few times, and I always thought it was facial hair.  The times it was real obvious was when he wasn't clean shaven.  It looks like he has streaks on his cheek that doesn't grow whiskers IMO.

Ok, I stand corrected.  It was there again last night and it wasn't anything rubbed on (I don't think).  I never noticed this before on OP, but then again, I've been watching games on KNWS all year and you can't see crap.  Now that all the games are in HDTV, some of these guys are scaring the hell out of me!  I don't know what the hell is up with his face, but he's got stripes all over his mug.

Did he have a "kick me" sign on his back, too?
