Burns also had a problem with a homerun in the 8th, mostly though he had a problem with his control. He hit a batter and walked one to help load the bases before Ann?s homer. But hell, they could?ve pitched a two hitter like Clemens did and still not have won this one.
For some reason Garner felt it necessary to keep Ausmus in the game after pinch hitting Quintero and sending him in to catch. Ausmus played short and was in the middle of a dp, making a decent move over the bag.
