14th shutout of the season, downed 8-0

So the father says to the talent agent, ?Sir, our family has an amazing act??

Left hander Dave Williams with his half a wind up, flipped up 60 or 70 half speed curve balls, most not over the plate, befuddling the Astros for a complete game shutout.  They got 5 weak hits, no two in the same inning.  That makes 18 fruitless donuts in a row.

Astacio didn?t do as well, but he didn?t do poorly.  The homeruns were a problem again.  He gave up 3, only one of which with a runner on.  Burns also had a problem with a homerun in the  8th, mostly though he had a problem with his control.  He hit a batter and walked one to help load the bases before Ann?s homer.  But hell, they could?ve pitched a two hitter like Clemens did and still not have won this one.

For some reason Garner felt it necessary to keep Ausmus in the game after pinch hitting Quintero and sending him in to catch.  Ausmus played short and was in the middle of a dp, making a decent move over the bag.

?...That?s a hell of an act, what do you call it??  ?The Aristocrats!?
