In a deceptively easy game, the Astros hit 5 homeruns (Biggio 2, Berkman 2, Lane 1) to the Phillies 1. Not much else offensively this game. There was some hooplah about exactly when the homeruns were hit. What was more interesting to me was how the first back to back hits highlighted the pecularities of the home teams' park.
Lidle did show signs of being distracted, misplacing his breaking balls but, except for the homeruns Mrs Lincoln, kept the Astros off the bases.
Pettitte, for the 5th game in a row, was very effective. He gave up 7 hits but a good percentage of those hits bounced off of something. He did labor at times, but that was mostly because he had to throw extra pitches due to some questionable defense. The left side of the infield was great, the right side, not so much.
