Rays scored in the top of the second when Choi singled, went to second on balk, and scored on a D'Arnaud two out base hit.

1-0 Rays mid 2.

Bottom 2:

Bregman grounds out to second
Yordan walked
Yuli singles on a line drive to center, moving Yordan to second.
Richards relieves the opener, Kitteridge
Toro IFR to 2b
Chirinos works the count full after falling behind 1-2 and then doubles to left. Yordan scores, Yuli to third.
Reddick sees 7 changeups out of 8 pitches to work the count full, fouling off 3 of them with 2 strikes before striking out on another changeup.

1-1 after 2.

Balk call on Greinke was highly questionable

Great job by Chirinos to lay off the high fastball then hammer a hanging breaking ball off the scoreboard.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

T3: Meadows upper tank
B3: Springer HR to left center

2-2 after 3.

Anyone feel free to take PBP. I'm barely following the game.

Same here, I'm more of a color man right now.

Altuve just got screwed again on a high strike call

Yep. I get tired of seeing infielders use the side-armed lob across the diamond. It's lazy and risky.

Waited back on the ball then threw a whiffleball to 1B.  Wasn't a good pitch by Greinke, but still, should have been out of the inning.

When I played I couldn't reliably lob the ball to first. If I didn't put some mustard on the throw, I couldn't be sure where it was going. Unsurprisingly, I see a lot of those side-armed lobs pull the first baseman off the bag. Last night, the Padres' shortstop threw a side-armed lob into the dugout and cost them the game.

That guy was turning a dp with someone sliding into him. Altuve did not have that excuse. Routine ground ball straight to him.

Alvarez kept it front of him but when he came up to throw, there were two guys at 3B and no cutoff man. That's on Toro.

At least he made up for it by pointlessly ejecting Reddick.

And then fucking Springer on back-to-back calls.

It's a shame AJ never loses his temper with umps. That was inexcusable on every front.

Also, it sure would be nice if Ji-Man Choi wasn't single-handedly destroying the Astros.

What a crappy game.  Greinke not a good start, can’t get the big hit with all the walks, bullpen (especially Devo) sucked.

Strike one was an even worse pitch.

That’s a strike on Reddick every single day. He gets fucked more than any player I’ve ever seen.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

We could not pitch today. The second level guys did not step up.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Just saw the clip on At Bat.

Wow.   Payoff pitch blows dust off the plate and he gets rung up.

Painful to see the pen leak oil like that.

If Altuve throws the ball hard to first, runs 3 and 4 do not score.

Painful.

Just watched the Reddick K. Good grief. HPU has to be accountable for that.

1 out 1 on vs 2 out bases empty, bottom 9, 1 run game.

Hopefully Jomboy will have since lipreading in a breakdown.

AJ did a nice job keeping his composure.  As usual.
