Walk, balk, and WP puts a guy on 3rd with 1 out. I'm not sure what ugly play will score him, but I'm sure it will be disgusting.

BB, K, Sac, K.

The balk: Cole dropped the ball while on the rubber.
The WP: skipped once that bounced into Machete's elbow; couldn't locate it.

Pretty generous performance by the home team.

Just to recap:

In the first 2 innings the Rays put 1 ball in play,  which was an out, and scored on the play.

Some stuff happened in the 3rd that did not result in an Astros baserunner.

End 3

Diaz probably should have fielded it.

1out, 1 on for TB.

They're infatuated with the fact that Williams and DiMaggio are the only players with more RBI in their first 60 games. Never mind that the eras aren't directly comparable.

That's two balls past Diaz that I think Bregman would have had. Although that probably wouldn't have made any difference on the second one: the guy on 3rd was going to score either way.

SS doesn't double clutch on the relay throw and they have a shot at Yuli at the plate.

As Maldonado puts down an extremely poor bunt to erase the runner in scoring position.

Machete battles back from 0-2 to a full count,  then lines a single to right.

Bregman scores.

7-4 Astros

Altuve got screwed that at bat. Ump took the bat right out of his hands.

That pitch was a strike to Aaron Judge,  and maybe no other AL hitter.

I don't like the move  either.

He dotted all 4 corners in that last AB (although he missed the target on one and didn't get the call).

Hit too hard for even Bregman to score from second.

Came on to read the GZ this morning with one reason being to see how much bitching there was about Osuna. Check. My view of a closer is stats do not matter as long as we are ahead when he gets the final out. I was surprised he did not use Sneed with a four run lead. Osuna got the outs with the lead, and the Astros won the game. No doubt he is unhappy about the homer, but the result is good for me. He will pitch differently in a one run game, imo. I remember Giles.

That was a Crawford Box special,  I think on a changeup.

The flyball to Reddick was harder hit.

I was more irritated with the walk.  Camera showed him talk to himself and go thru some arm/shoulder motions reminding himself of some bullet points. After that he was in and around the zone the rest of the inning.

Walks drove me crazy in the first game. All came with huge leads, but now we know Peacock was struggling with pain.
