Day 2 of Player Punishment Weekend:

Where the fuck is everyone?

Astros plate two in the first on an Altuve triple and home run by Uncle Mike.  Leave runners at 2B and 3B as Chirinos chases three pitches over his head.

2-0 Astros

Working the grill. I'll be spotty for another hour or so. I know you're all disappointed.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

OK, someone wearing #27 is up there being patient, laying off the breaking stuff, going the other way...who are you and what have you done with Jose Altuve?

Ohtani with a single to CF, but Bregman forgets to cover 2B and gets there late...Ohtani tries his luck and is ruled out.  Angels challenging, replay shows he's clearly safe....but upheld.  Wow.

Springer takes strike one, takes strike two and takes strike three...all fastballs in the same spot...to end the 4th.  Not sure what he's seeing this series, but time to get rid of that ugly bat.

Chirinos rolls to 2B where no one is there... but hit so soft it doesn't leave the infield, second baseman runs it down as Chirinos inexplicably slides into 1B slowing him down just enough for the throw to nip him, jamming his leg in the process...slow to get up, but we go to commercial so I guess he's ok.

The Astros are trying hard to give it to them but the Angels won't take it. 3 more innings for the bull pen. They are going to need more runs.

Such a fine line for sidearm pitchers between effective and putting pitches middle-middle.

Another 4-pitch walk from McHugh.  He's thrown 9 pitches, 8 of them balls.  The other was the double play ball.

Pujols in a "run"down.

That made my day.

If they had messed that up I would have left.

Thaiss grounds one right over 1B bag...Yui gives up, but Altiuve is there to field it foul territory as Yuli finally realizes and gets back to the bag at just the last second.  Put one in the shift's column...

In the history of baseball,  how many times has a ground ball hit there resulted in an out?

I wish they had put the "players" names on El Grande.  Then I could read them all.  Can't see any of it otherwise.

Springer's orange bat has a hole in it.  He can't even break it because that would require contact.
