At least it is before labor day.  ...... but that is the only good thing about those. 

Let me get this straight - Players weekend is to help player's personalities shine so let's make the players totally indistinguishable from each other by putting them in all white or black. 

Also who got to decide on hat colors.   Saw highlights today and the Cubs were wearing blue hats.

To complete the weekend, today the players will have their faces painted to look their favorite animals; tomorrow the players will wear striped prison uniforms and the umpires will wear guard uniforms. When a strike out occurs, instead of ringing the batter up, the home plate umpire will squirt him with a water gun.

Not only were the white uniforms butt ugly, but you couldn't read the player nicknames which is one of the primary features of the weekend.  I can't believe that no one said "hey, do you think it's going to be hard to read white player names on white uniforms?"

I like how almost everyone had a negative reaction to the unis. I hope next year they bust out the dots and stripes.
