Cole with a strong start back...a couple of punchouts and a comebacker.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I thought JV would pitch a no hitter and maybe a perfect game last night. What the team did to him was criminal. He blamed himself for the homers.

His punishment for the home runs should have been "you don't get the no hitter", not a loss.

Yes. I cannot believe how this offense switches off, but Hinch did not help with the lineup.

I get so tired of seeing him standing 4' off the plate and swinging at shit a foot outside.

And Altuve punches out on a slider in the home dugout...

He looked pull happy.   There was one drivable pitch on the outer half/third he fouled off looking to yank.  Maybe another.

The wipeout slider was a good pitch but good lord it ended way out of the zone.   Failure to recognize?

Frustrating.

Lugo takes a fastball right down the center square for strike three, then bitches about it.

No score.

He must have been complaining about something from earlier in the AB, because that pitch couldn't have been more of a strike.

Agreed, also his foot was coming off the plate too. I think it was too close to overturn if he had called Bregman safe.

Altuve put a charge in one for a long out his last AB.

Let's see if he can get one to land in the OF grass.

Astros with the bases drunk...nobody out...
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Reddick hits one just to the wrong side of the RF pole,  then grounds out.

Jake hits for Springer, Ks swinging.

Straw hits for Altuve, grounds out 5-3.

End 8
Astros 6-0
