Rained out?

Looks like it. Rats.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Dang it. Greinke and Cole on the same day? Wonder which order Hinch will choose.

It's being reported as Greinke first, Cole second.

Ok, thanks. If they don’t care, I would reverse that, but AJ has not asked for my opinion lately.

What's your reasoning for the order?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Hard thrower first, then soft. Screwing up hitters. Same reasoning for putting Greinke in the middle between JV and Cole, but they are on the same day tomorrow. Likely will work the same with Greinke first, and they will have to face Cole under the lights.

I was wondering if having the harder thrower during the day game would be meaningful at all.  Maybe for these guys it doesn't make much difference.

Yeah, that was my second thought too. Hard thrower easier to see in daytime unless shadows impact the hitter.

Aren't they going to have to come up with a sixth starter for Saturday?

Yes. I imagine Urquidy will get the call.

Who will be the 26th man today?

Framber has pitched really well during this RR stint.

Framer has pitched really well during this RR stint.

"Here's the ball, Framber. You're pitching 8 innings or 5,000 pitches, whichever comes first."

His control for RR has been good. Strange.

ETA: Urquidy pitched last night. So the “who is pitching Saturday” watch continues.

I hope someone found the offense overnight. We need to win this series today.

Armenteros pitched well Sunday. 6.1 innings, no runs or hits; 4 SOs, 4BBs. He might get a call up especially if Cole can't make his next start.  Valdez pitched Monday; 6.2 innings, 13 SOs; 2 3 run yaks.

I think Armenteros's start got overlooked because of the dismal outing from Peacock when he came in. But he was very good.
