And giving up home runs.

Yeah, looking at the replay, it really wasn't a bad pitch. But sometimes it doesn't matter.

Crawford singles up the middle
Wild pitch, Crawford to 2B
Santana...Miley in the stretch for the first time...walks
Vogelbach grounds out 3-1, Crawford to 3B, Santana to 2B
Beckham...infield in...grounds into FC, Crawford out 5-2 at the plate, Santana, for some inexplicable reason stands on 2B and watches
Murphy grounds out 4-3 in the shift

Boy, I'm not sure that Chirinos ever got the tag on the runner there. And what was Santana thinking at 2nd?

Chirinos tagged him high.

As for Santana... Maybe he's actually Shin So Choo in disguise?

Come back from commercial showing Miley working the corners and throwing nasty change ups tailing away.

In my mind, put on top of White taking a beach ball right down the pipe that didn't do shit.

Fucking infuriating.

It is indeed painful to watch the Astros these days but I do like watching Miley pitch. He’s pro and just as good as Keuchel at a fraction of the price. And fast.

And now Jerry Meals completely loses his strike zone. Miley threw a fastball on the inside corner that caught the top of the zone fully, completely in the strike zone box. Ball.

And that leads to a walk.

Fuck.

For the last few nights, the Astros pitcher could throw a shutout and they still not win.  Sad.

Man Jerry Meals is having a rough night.

His has no idea where the bottom corners are or the top of the zone.

Oh, also Ron "I do whatever I want" Culpa is on 3rd, if you hadn't caught that yet.

How exactly is a rainbow made?  How does a posi-traction rear end work on a Plymouth?  No one knows.  It just does.

Oh course Altuve hits a fucking rocket right at someone.

Now Bregman will pop up, and we'll continue my own personal hell for a baseball game.

Slider away.

Nicely played,  BBGs.

I don't care if it's a guy who gets 200 hits a year, I would have had him take on 3-0.

I saw. He hadn't thrown a strike all inning. The idea that he might throw two in a row seems bizarre to me.

He's far more likely to chase than Springer.  That's why I'd rather pitch to him.  Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Then swings through a spinner up and in for strike 3.

Last three games, the Astros have 26 hits and 6 walks...and scored 3 runs.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Pound for pound, I think these are the best Astros caps they have ever worn. I know many others disagree and that is just fine. But I like these the best and for me it's not really close.

I was gonna say earlier, I like these caps better too.  The current ones are pretty close, but I like the understated look a little better.

They're less busy than today's cap. Cleaner, and, I think, better.

Today's cap is fine. Far better than any number of previous caps. But this one to me is the obvious gold standard.

I really like the current uniforms. They are very classy and clean. But for me, there is just something about that rainbow look. Whether it’s the full rainbow uniforms or that last night, it is iconic and defines the Astros franchise.....for me at least.

The Astros have been outscored 38-7 in five home game since that comment.

Ah yes, but they also went 1-6 on the road. The swoon is general. Look elsewhere for your next effigy victim, sir!

Let's not get crazy.  Nothing resembling a rainbow should ever see the light of day again, except in the Museum of Ugly Baseball Uniforms.

The Shooting Stars are one of the Top 5 best looking uniforms in the history of baseball.  It's a real shame they don't wear them.

True, they went 1-6 on the road, but they also scored 28 runs.  Your comment was directed specifically at the offense.  Don't try to weasel out of this one, solider.

I second that sentiment. But the blue and orange rather than the later orange-only motif they were promoting on the game last night.
