Red Sox @ Astros, May 25, 2019
« on: May 25, 2019, 06:10:16 pm »
I've seen more sox this week than a laundromat.  I'll be glad when they're gone.

Today's game is on Fox, btw, so you get the dulcet screech of Joe Buck.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

At least they aren't in that shit-hole.

Cora out to check on Price...action in the Sox pen...not sure what the issue is.

They showed somebody in the dugout on the phone to the bullpen a few pitches ago, Buck/Smoltz said nothing but I thought that was odd.

I've muted the tv.  I can't believe how stupid he has gotten.  Bobby Cox would probably beat his ass.

You usually have to pause the tv for 3 seconds or so to get it right.  I can't get the crappy FM station out of Austin where I'm at, so I'm stuck with these chucklefucks on Fox

Reddick and White single, Stassi promptly grounds into a double play and Kemp gets caught looking.  One rally, killed successfully.

Yuli came into the game hitting right at .200 with a .325 SLG with runners in scoring position.  Batting .182 in the last 14 games.

He's had a couple of 10ish game hot streaks so far where he's looked like the good Yuli, but outside of that...

Yuli took the prior pitch in a similar spot.   I thought,  "man I wish he poked down the line."

Yuli thought better and sent a missile that way on the next pitch.

It's time for Bregman to be something other than a paperweight.

True, they all count.  But it wasn't as if Osuna stunk up the yard, that's my only point.

I wasn’t being dismissive or anything. The moment wasn’t really a punny one, that’s all.

No worries.

Watching the mlb gamecast because we have no cable at the moment.

Only way to vent, was to come on in here and post.  I'll time it better in the future.

Lets do this ---  lets get the red footed fungus toes from Boston.

Diaz's last two at bats were leadoff doubles and he eventually scored.  Terrific game for AD.

I'm disappointed to report that there are very classless Astros fans.

While we all understand that we would like White to do better I don't think any of us would say horrid things to him at the game.

Apparently, there was one fan that was saying all kind of things about White.  The couple were talking trash to his family.  Then the drunks got worse and starting trash talking the family.

It was apparently really bad that security got involved.

Boston's fundamentals are awful - looks like they all missed spring training. Their poor fielding and base running have handed the Astros the first two games of the series.

I made the same point about the Yankees a while back. Those are two teams that obviously do not give one shit about defense and I find that deeply insulting. They think they can out hit any deficiencies, and who knows, maybe they're right. It's still artless and stupid and I hope the Rays beat the dogshit out of the both of them.

Thomas and Bagwell basically had the exact same career over the exact same time frame. One guy never said much, the other spoke out against steroids. The guy who said nothing was suspected for no reason and the guy who spoke out was never suspected for some reason.
