Bottom 3.

A sac fly in the 1st and a rocket from Jake leading off the 3rd have Astros up 2-0.

Sigh.

Consecutive hits from Josh (hitting in the leadoff spot tonight) and Bregman followed by a gidp by Brantley,  a walk by Correa, and a foul pop by Yuli.

Peacock is DEALING.

A couple of command issues that inning, but man for the most part he's been killing those guys with sliders. Inside, outside, they don't know what's coming.

Strike one might have been a ball, but not on a 3-0 count. The other two were great pitches.

Great stop by Kemp. Too bad it was against a fast guy.

Great stop by Kemp.

Good speed from the runner beat the throw,  but Anderson had to stop at 2nd.

Am I hallucinating, or did the blind squirrel find an acorn?

Given how a lack of sight is likely to adversely affect the foraging ability of a squirrel and therefore have implications for total calories consumed, this analogy may not be apt for Tyler White.

He's been great against LHP at least since early last year. I was at a game in LAA last year and they brought in a lefty to face Reddick with runners and I told all the Angels fans with me that Reddick eats lefties for lunch with the commensurate  razzing. Reddick put it into the right field bleachers and made me look good.
He breezed him, one more time!

Nice!

Did you see Reddick break the bat afterwards?

What did they say?  I was outside watching through the window.

"Snapped the streak,  snapped the bat."

TK asked did he expect to go 9 for 9 against lefties?

Then they cut to the dugout and Josh was smiling too.  Apparently he heard from his teammates.

Brantley doubles into the nook in left.

He briefly considers smiling then thinks better of it.

If they wound up with a starter and moved Peacock to the pen, this bullpen would be outstanding.
