Springer leadoff walk,  Altuve 0-2 single thru the hole,  Brendan warning track flyball,  Correa  5-3 dp.

McHugh puts them down in order.

Scoreless after 1.

No baserunners for either team in the 2nd.

White lined out to deep left if anyone cares.

Yuli made a nice stop on a ball down the line.

Shoddy camera work almost caused me to “yeehaw” that Bregman fly ball.

McHugh gave up 3 in the 3rd, one of which must've broken an upper deck seat.

Tyler,  I know you have trouble seeing them.   But your knees *are* there,  and they're still where the strike zone begins.

Looks like it's back to bullshit pitiful at bats tonight.

Tyler White took TWO off speed pitches right down the middle in his last at bat.

Fucking awful.

Springer just raw dogged by the HPU. Ball one called a strike, a definite no-go on a check swing rung up on appeal.

Also, last inning, McHugh had a ball called that was right down the fucking middle, and Keppler got a double with 2 strikes. Brutal inning for the HPU.

2 hits for Altuve.

That's 3 deep flyballs for Bregman.   That one was the least threatening but they've all been pretty well struck.

Twice tonight Collin couldn't keep 2 out runs from scoring.

I'd describe his outing as uneven.

Tyler White needs some sports psychology sessions with Matt Foley or he might end up living in a van down by the river.

He certainly channeled his inner Morgan Ensberg in that last AB.

Am I seeing that right..White has taken three strikes in consecutive at bats?

Another super fucking pathetic outing by the offense tonight, barring a dump truck of miracles in the 9th.

The total asleep-at-the-wheel-ness of the offense in 2 of the last 3 games against really mediocre pitching is really worrisome.

Devo pitches the 7th and 8th and sadly reminds us why he's no longer a frontline reliever.

I hope Strom figures something out with him.

6-0 to the 9th

I seem to recall a previous dump truck of miracles in this very stadium a few years ago.

Did it involve Yuli taking two < 89 MPH fastballs for some reason then flailing over a junkball?

I'm sure flailing was involved.  But it probably did not involve Tyler White.

Nice hit by White.

This game started with a leadoff walk to Springer and an 0-2 single by Altuve.

It ended with a 2 run 9th.

There was a pile of turds in between.

I think Devo may be done or at least no better than a middle innings mopup guy. The pen needs Peacock badly and has other question marks.

I think a starting pitcher is needed.  Get that starter and Peacock goes to the pen.

I think multi-inning Devo needs to stop being a thing.

The guy who was supposed to be the multi inning guy is about to go back to AAA.
