I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I think Darin Erstad and Paul LoDuca wore that title with the Angels and Mets respectively.

LoDuca figured prominently in the article.

Brocail and Kent.  Thought Kent was Bluebonnet?

Danny Darwin is the ultimate redass.

I imagine this was referenced in the piece, but I think I first heard the term applied to Lou Pinella by Jim Bouton in Ball Four.

I first heard the term applied to Bobby Abreau. The scout thought it helped him develop as a player, versus Richard Hildago who didn't have the career that Abreau had.

So I shouldn’t search while in a country where porn is punishable with a lengthy prison term?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I just remember Redding from his stint with the Zephyrs. He had a great arm, but he was one of the most hard headed players that I've ever met. And he didn't strike me as particularly bright, but that was deceptive because of his arrogance, i.e., he might be brilliant. His career significantly underwhelmed his personal expectations. He thought that you didn't really let it all hang out until you get to the Show.

I don't think it's really lost. Here is one version of it. If someone (like Waldo) doesn't have a version of it somewhere, we can probably piece most of it back together.

It’s just hard to find. Easier to ask Google than to find it on the front page.
