I've asked this before, but does anyone have Dallas Keuchel's phone number?  I need to talk to him about something.

I'm not convinced this hasn't been Dallas Keuchel pitching the last 4 starts.

Is Lance ready yet?  I'm sure he couldn't do much worse.

This battle is long since lost, but I really wish the broadcast would get rid of the strike zone box.

He could just kick the ball to the strike zone and do better than the last few nights.

I like the strike box.

And the ATT sportsnet one is unobtrusive.

Also Angel has used up at least half his quota of missed pitches.

Miley looked good after the double in the 2nd.

Second the motion about early offense for the Astros.

Fuck Dallas Keuchel
This^^^

Even at the pro-rated amount he is supposed to be seeking for a one year deal, it is still too much dough to pay, not to mention the fact that if you signed him now he wouldn’t pitch in majors until close to end of May.

I’d rather trade for Bumgarner or Stroman.

Prior to the late innings they have been. I'd rather the late inning runs be putting them over the top than filling in the early-inning hole.

But, really, I'd just like them to start playing like a good team again.

Doesn't matter in what inning they score them, they all count the same.  Of course I'd prefer the 10th run of the game to put them over the top rather than getting them to within a run, but the fact remains, the Astros are scoring runs.  Lots of them.  The problem the last few games has been pitching, not lack of scoring runs.

You'd love the pitcher, after having a mental error on a bunt right back to him, crossing up the catcher on the next pitch and drilling him right in the helmet with a fastball.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

The rule Kalas found indicated the lead runner should be out but they ruled Correa out.  But he wasn't sure that was the relevant rule.

A batter or runner who intentionally interferes with a thrown ball is out.  The closest fielder is awarded an unassisted putout. Runners return to the base they most recently legally occupied.

That's always something I've heard said about baseball.  On any given night, you might see something you've never seen before and might not ever see again.  That's a first for me.  A batter just grabbing a ball in play.

Yeah, I'd have to listen to Kalas's explanation of whatever rule that was again.  I thought it was simple interference and then he confused the hell out of me.  It was simple interference.

For the most part throughout the whole game, hitters from both teams seemed to respond to the Angel of Death with bemused resignation - there was simply going to be no shortage of outrageous calls.  The called third strike to Springer was so bad, I don't blame George for melting down.
