Jose ties it at one in the 4th with a smash that defies his stature.

AL Oliver famously wore it back in the day.

The announcers said that it's the first 0 in Yankees' history. My $0.02 is that it looks stupid, particularly on a reliever.  Perhaps a speedy center fielder could pull it off.

Two nights in a row they get late runs to come back against very good bullpens.  Nice to see.

My "semi" concern from last nights game is Verlander.  I really didn't think he'd make six innings the way the game was going.  He battled and made it but it wasn't what I was expecting after the Rangers game.

I get the concern, but he wasn't really getting hit hard IMO, he was just off mechanically and therefore inefficient with a lot of non-competitive pitches.  I'm assuming he'll find his groove.

JV didn't seem too concerned about his performance in the post-game. Just something to work out.

Or anyone else for that matter.  What did people expect him to say "boy, I suck...I'm really worried that I no long have the skills to play at this level"?  I'm not sure I'd want the guy who doesn't say "I'm confident I'll pitch better next time out".

Pretty sure that if you pinch-run for the DH, the pinch-runner simply becomes the DH.  Just like pinch-hitting for him.

You lose the DH when the DH is moved to a defensive position.

That was a perfect slide and a heads-up play. If he comes in straight he is out.
