Let's get back in the win column, boys!
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

What more do you want?  It's been 2 innings and we have a lineout and a single.  It's an offensive explosion.
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

Correa homers to LCF
Gurriel singles to RF
Reddick...0-2...singles to RF, Gurriel to 2B
Chirinos strikes out swinging at a pitch in the dirt
Kemp singles to RF on the first pitch, Gurriel to 3B, Reddick to 2B
Springer...0-2...1-2...grounds into 6-4-3 double play

Lots of traffic, little to show.  But the Astros retake a 2-1 lead.

Brantley battled in that AB.

Tough 3-2 pitch.

Is scoring 2 runs in one inning against the rules?

1 run in, and a man on 2nd with no outs, 3-4-5 coming up. And nothing else happens.

Pressly in...

Grossman, who was at the plate when Laureano was thrown out to end the 7th...taps back to the mound
Chapman chops to 3B, Bregman makes a nice pickup and throw, but no chance on a such a slow chopper
Piscotty grounds to 3B...Bregman bobbles it, recovers to get Piscotty 5-3, but Chapman moves to 2B
Davis grounds to 3B, Bregman with a nice play behind the bag

3-1 Astros

Bregman got some work that inning.

The throw on the bobble/barehand pickup was impressively accurate.

Nice to be unscathed going through the heart of their order.  A clutch hit would be welcome.

If it did hit him, thank goodness it was only glancing contact.

Scary.

That hit the bat.

That's what I thought live...Chirinos certainly thought it did.

Live I thought it glanced off his helmet because I heard something and Chirinos didn't move. But then I saw that it plainly did not his hit helmet and since it obviously hit something, has to be the bat.

Laureano with his fourth hit of the night makes it 3-2...tying run on base, two out....

T9:

Osuna in...

Morales lifts a fly ball to LF...shift on, it drops for a single
Canha in to pinch run for Morales
Semien….0-2...1-2...strikes out looking
Profar strikes out swinging
Laureano hit in the head by pitch...Hinch challenging...looks close...if it did hit him, the ball scraped one molecule of his helmet...overturned...Laureano has to come back to the plate, but Cahna moves to 2B on what's ultimately a wild pitch...singles up the middle...Canha scores
Pinder, pinch hitting for Hundley, grounds out 6-3

Astros win!!

Chironos has a nice arm.

So far he's been better than advertised, quicker than I thought he was.

I have a feeling that Laureano is going to be Vina-level pain in the ass for a few years.

He led off in Japan and stuck up the joint and they dropped him. They'll figure it out before too long, no doubt.
