And yet, 45 Heroes of Journalism deemed him unworthy of the Hall of Fame.
If it makes you feel any better there were seven ink stained wenches that same year who carefully weighed all the evidence and decided that Hank Aaron just wasn't Hall of Fame material. And let's face it, after 23 long seasons he just BARELY surpassed 750 home runs so you can certainly forgive an abundance of caution from those discerning fellows.
