CFM

Did this acronym for Charlie start here or elsewhere? Stanton made reference to it Sunday in the pre-game: “Who will show up today? Charlie Morton or CFM?”

Alex Bregman is the one who started it, I believe, but it’s caught on everywhere. The Astros official social media even refer to him as CFM.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Maybe not, but I did hear Blum call White “The Meg” in the clubhouse celebration. Maybe he lurks.

I’ll believe he lurks when he dope slaps Kalas for pissing off the BBGs and demands a frito pie sacrifice from Julia.

Comes from his nickname Great White.  The Meg refers to the Megalodon, which is an ancient very large shark that crazy internet people swear still exists (maybe it does, what do I know?).  Anyway, there was also a movie very recently called The Meg that is about that very scenario.  That's where the 2nd nickname comes from.

FYI Jim, a "movie" is a collection of still frames strung together a shown a speed to recreate the effect of movement.  Also, it's in color.

I remember Bregman saying something about needing a wheelbarrow to carry Charlies cojones back to Houston.
Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

Are they still .25 cents admission? I love the serials before the feature film.

I would sooner watch any of the Sharknados than Rambo 5.

This made me LOL.

So, my wife walks in on me watching one of the Sharknado movies and quizzically asks, “WTF?” (which, for the some of you that have met her is funny in it own right) and I simply reply, “I’m a meteorologist”. She walked out without saying a word.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

How would you explain if she walked in and you were watching Moby Dick: 2010?

Until the very end, The Shallows was a great shark movie.  Open Water wasn't bad at all either.

I like The Shallows, Blake Lively is great in it. However, even it's no Jaws.

I was very disappointed by that ending, but up until then it was gripping.

The lack of Robert Shaw means that no other shark movie is no Jaws.
