Apparently an irrigation problem behind the mound before the game. As Crash Davis would say, " we've got ourselves a natural disaster!"
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

B2:

Pujols...3-0...4-pitch walk to start the inning
Simmons chops to 1B, Gurriel throws to 2B to get Pujols 3-6, but no chance at two, as Simmons reaches on the FC
Rivera breaks his bat on a soft line drive to 2B on the first pitch
Simmons to 2B on what's scored a wild pitch, but Stassi made basically no effort to catch
Marte...full count...chops high to SS, Correa has to wait on it, but throws 100 mph to 1B to get the runner

No score

Your feed is way faster than mine, Simmons just grounded out.

Are you watching MLB.TV?  I know it's around 30 seconds or so behind the live feed on DirecTV.  And that's if you're not having any buffering issues.

That's me. I usually have to "reconnect" between innings to make up for time lost buffering, otherwise I end up 2 or 3 minutes behind by the 5th inning.

This is my first year with Extra Innings on DirecTV.  I'll never use MLB.TV again as my primary provider.  I just got sick of year after year all the issues they have.  It's more expensive, but it's worth it.

T3:

Gattis singles up the middle for the Astros' first hit
Stassi...full count...walks, Gattis to 2B
Kemp strikes out swinging...not a good at bat, for a lot of reasons
Bregman singles to LF, Gattis to 3B, Stassi to 2B
Altuve pops out F6 on the first pitch...infield fly in effect, despite Kalas blabbering on about letting it drop
Correa...works the count full...singles to CF, Gattis scores, Stassi scores, Bregman to 3B
Marwin singles to RF, Bregman scores, Correa to 2B
Gurriel grounds up the middle, Fletcher with an nice backhand and flip to 2B to get Marwin 4-6

But the Astros score thrice...lead 3-0

I use MLB.TV all the time traveling.  I have a few issues occasionally, but it's usually not bad.  Better than nothing.

It's been terrible for me for years.  I've tried different devices, too.  Everything from a PS4, Roku, Apple TV, Nvidia Shield, etc.  It's always been crap for me.

But MLB.TV is definitely good for on-the-go.  No question there.

Hadn't had a salisbury steak in many years, so I went middle school:  smothered venisonburger patty with mushroom/onion/pepper/marsala gravy.  Taters and okra on the side.

B3:

Ward walks
Young bunts, Stassi jumps up and fields it right over the plate, throws to 2B and it's an easy 2-6-3 double play...Scioscia out to argue, but cant' challenge
Calhoun singles to LF
Fletcher grounds into a FC, Calhoun out 6-4 at 2B

3-0 Astros

Can't challenge fair/foul on the infield.  Not sure why, just one of the rules.

B4:

Trout strikes out swinging
Pujols...full count...crushes a one hopper up the middle, Altuve on the shift is knocked over by it, but fields it and has all day to get Pujols 4-3
Simmons strikes out swinging, but it bounces in front of the plate and away from Stassi, and Simmons reaches on the wild pitch
Rivera flairs one to RF, and Reddick makes a running basket catch to end the inning

3-0 Astros

Italian Sunday "gravy" is much more than the brown gravy you and I grew up on.

It's what us bules would call "spaghetti sauce"

Pena can just lob that curveball up there on the first pitch.  The Astros simply are not going to swing

I initially pictured a big gravy bowl with straws... My paisano buddy says that gravy is a New York Itallian thing. In Italiano es Salsa.

It's an Italian-American thing.  Mrs. Hawk's family is from the North End of Boston.

Hey gang, just got here from Williamsport, where the Hawaii kids blanked the South Koreans three—zip to win the whole fucking thing.

Attended a wedding ceremony today and got to watch an entire hog removed from the smoker it’d spent the night in. Crazy thing to see, not bad to eat.

If you've got no shot at a double play, why not get the lead runner at 3B?

B5:

Marte...3-0...3-1...and for the third consecutive inning, Valdez walks the leadoff hitter
Ward...0-2...dribbles up the 3B line, Bregman can't make the bare handed pickup...infield single, Marte to 2B
Young grounds to SS, Correa goes to 2B to get Ward 6-4 and Altuve throws to 3B as he had no shot at 1B...Marte to 3B
Calhoun...3-0...3-1...3-2...taps back to the mound...Framber spins around unsure what to do, and eventually goes to 2B to get Young at 2B, but Marte scores as Calhoun reaches on the FC
Calhoun to 3B on a wild pitch...again Stassi didn't make much effort on it
Fletcher...full up...grounds out 5-3

Angels never hit the ball out of the infield but score a run on a walk and infield dribbler...3-1 Astros

Especially when they drove in a run when the hitter basically got blown up and wound up trickling the ball into no-man's land.

At least one of his balls today was really well struck, but Calhoun ran it down in the RCF gap. I'm not worried about him. It's not like he's flailing at crap.

He's not a .300 hitter.  He's coming back to what he is, but he's still pretty good in the 9 hole.

Springer getting a pinch hit at bat...
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

T9:

Robles in for the Angles

Gurriel singles to LF
Reddick grounds into FC, Gurriel out 4-6 at 2B
Gattis strikes out swinging
Springer, pinch hitting for Stassi, strikes out swinging

To the bottom of the 9th...Astros with a 3-1 lead

B9:

Osuna in to try to close it out

Pujols punches a little liner behind the 2B bag...Altuve in the shift fields it, lobs it to 1B and almost pulls Yuli off the bag, but 4-3 on the play
Simmons...0-2...taps back to the mound
Arcia, pinch hitting for Rivera, hit by 2-2 pitch
Ohtani, pinch hitting for Marte, strikes out swinging

Astros win 3-1 to complete the sweep!!

That sounds awesome

Turned out pretty well. This was the starting point: https://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/one-skillet-corn-chilaquiles. I blew off the jalapenos and diced up a couple of Hatch chiles instead. I had a couple of chicken breasts in the fridge, so rather than use a rotisserie chicken, I seasoned them with a salt/pepper/dried citrus rub and sauteed them and then shredded them after they cooled. Pretty straightforward and took about 45 minutes. I put some lime juice in there, too, but I love limes.

Hatch peppers are all the rage now... I wish I could get my hands on some fresh ones in WV.

I love the fact that HEB/Central Market in Texas sells both fresh and roasted ones. I loaded up the first week.  I've got two pounds of roasted peppers in my freezer to hold me over until next year.

Cooking up a batch of green chile pork stew with those Hatches in January is something of a ritual with us.

It's gonna become that 'round here. Did it last year, will do it again this year.

I love how the hot Hatches will make my head sweat but don't burn my throat. In my mouth initially they seem hotter than they actually turn out to be. I love them so much.
