I saw the Avett Brothers this past Saturday night in Brooklyn. (Don't ask. I bought the tickets way before the post-season schedule was announced so I had to watch the game on DVR when I got home.)
My wife was asking me how I had heard of the band, which has become one of my favorites, and which gets no radio playtime. I was thinking about it for a while. Did I hear them on one of my Pandora stations? Did a friend recommend them? And then I realized that I read about them on one of the annual music posts here. So thanks. I appreciate the fact that good music gets discussed here.
