What I like most about Rondon is his apparent calm.

All the other stuff aside, I'm rooting for Rondon to retain the closers' role throughout October.

And by “retain” I expect you mean “continue to excel”. That would be fine with me, too.

Hector has seemed to get stronger as the season goes. He inspires a lot of confidence.

In fact, the whole bullpen has rarely been in better shape. If Devo comes back strong (Mark is right, he was gassed) and Osuna pans out, I like the possibilities of holding leads late.

He breezed him, one more time!

It's interesting.  Last season, it was clear to me that Devo was totally gassed by the end of the season (well before the playoffs), but I attributed it to the fact that the Astros pitched him multiple innings so many times (at least 23 times according to my count).  In 2018, however, the Astros have only pitched him multiple innings 5 times to date.

Why do we think Devo is gassed?  And what can the team do so that they don't burn him?
Boom!

If Devo had been hiding his leg injury then his problem wasn't being gassed.

Hamstring. That put him on the DL.

Or it's a "get yourself back on the right track" hamstring injury.

I tend to agree.  I looked up his pitching totals year to date, and he really hasn't pitched all that much.  Never two days in a row, only multiple innings a few times, and never more than 25 pitches an outing.  He threw far less in July than either Rondon or Harris.  If he's gassed, it's for reasons other than pitching too much or too often.

On a topical note...Rondon has been fucking nails.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Could be this. You were advocating for a DL stint the last time I saw you.

Devo to the DL with effective pitching discomfort.
