All-Star voting
« on: July 03, 2018, 11:43:53 am »
Has anyone actually hit the 35-vote limit in all-star voting?

I've been voting 5 times a day for several weeks, without any trickery, and have yet to be told I've hit the limit (as has happened in years past). Just curious if anyone else has encountered the same thing.

I hit my limit last week.

Do you get emails from MLB? Every time I voted I received an email stating that I had voted X amount of times.

Hmm -- I get emails from MLB, but I don't know that I've received one each day I've voted. Weird.

Hinch says Verlander will pitch the Sunday before the all star break and won't make an appearance in the ASG.

Good news as far as I'm concerned. Hate it when any of our guys are in the HR Derby as well.  Seemed like Berkman had a poor 2nd half (at least power wise) after participating.

Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

Little bit of post hoc fallacy going on there, methinks.

Interesting that the Astros will likely go from 3 starters to one on a team that is on pace to win 104-105 games.
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

The fact that there are two other AL teams on pace for at least that many wins, and that they're named Boston and NY, has quite a bit to do with that, I think.

Also, Machado and Lindor lead Correa and both are having a better season than him. Trout, Bettis, and Judge are all having a better season than Springer.

I gave Haniger some love just I wouldn't have to vote for Judge.
