Morton last night
« on: June 27, 2018, 08:17:18 am »
I thought he was going to pitch a no-hitter.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

That catch by Jake would have been a perfect save-the-no-no highlight.

It was still one of the best wel we'll see this year.

He had the stuff.  He got a little tired there as he approached 100 pitches, but he was phenomenal.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Did he ever say anything about any mechanical adjustments he made after his bout with wildness?
You may ask yourself, "How do I work this?"

I did too.  His stuff was as nasty as Cole's was in that game where he struck out 16 and gave up 1 hit.

After the wild game, yes. Front shoulder flying open.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

Here is a link to Morton's 18 swinging strikes, courtesy of the Pitching Ninja:

Thanks for that.  I watch it on a repeating loop and marvel.

I also remember the inside fastballs to lefties anticipating the bender.  Completely freezing them.

The pitch overlays he does are extra amazing to watch.

If I had to narrow down to 5 or 10 follows on Twitter, Pitching Ninja would absolutely still be one of them.

+1 on the Twitter follow.

Here's a couple more from this week.

Isolation on a Morton deuce.  Just so nasty.

Devenski CoD.  The bottom just disappears and Teoscar flails and falls down.
