Springer’s almost homer

If the fan had been more aggressive, he could have caught the ball above the OFer’s glove, it was in the stands.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

The sad/funny part was the fan looking in his glove to see if he had it.

It was encouraging to see Springer drive a ball to right.

Mark was exactly right: when you are in a slump, that is what happens.

The fan closed his eyes at the last minute before he whiffed. Keep your eye on the ball and know the situation! If you’re some jamoke who brings a glove to the game, the least you can do is follow the key lessons of youth baseball.

That was potential fan nirvana right there.  Be a fan of the game AND have a material impact on the outcome of the game as well.  This is what we train for, people...
Another trenchant comment by a jealous lesser intellect.

He tried to let the ball come into his glove for a basket catch. If he had raised his glove above his head and caught the ball at his glove’s highest point, the OFer had no chance. What a wasted opportunity.

Maybe he's not used to the LED lights yet.
