Three GIDP so far. It's gotten to the point where I'm relieved to see them get to two outs, just because a GIDP is no longer possible.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

The top of the sixth was an example of how winning streaks die. runners on 1st and 3rd with no outs. Marwin has a 3-1 count and whiffs on a fastball down the middle. He eventually Ks and then McCann grounds into a DP.

Last year our longest winning streak died in KC under painful circumstances.

Now Correa’s tied us up and Astros are on first and second with nobody out.

Gattis delivers another RBI on an 0-2 pitch in on his hands. He managed to serve it into right field. 5-4 Astros.

Marwin drove in another run to make is 6-4 Astros heading to the bottom of the 8th.

Apologies for the half-assed PBP, but that’s the best I can offer on today in what was a threadless Sunday matinee until the 6th.

Grimm still pitching for KC.

Bregman doubles off the top of the wall in left center.

Altuve flies out shy of the warning track in RCF. Bregman tags and advances to 3rd.

Corrrea hits a looper to shallow right near the foul line that the outfielder manages to make a shoestring catch on. Bregman heads up and tags up. 7-4 Astros. 2 outs.

Yuli Ks.

Headed to bottom 9. Astros 7-4.

Eleven in a row.

Yes,  great photo.

And the bullpen wisely listened to you.

Perfect road trip, and AJ managed to get the regulars their days off plus the pen threw a normal amount of innings.

More importantly,  Strom appears to have been busy.   Lots of sliders with better shapes to them lately.

Moustakas sure looked safe to me. Don't understand why the call wasn't over turned. Great throw by Marwin.

I would guess that it was upheld rather than confirmed—is that the distinction they make? That had he been called safe that call would’ve stood as well, there not being sufficient evidence to overturn the ump’s judgment either way.

And that is why Moustakis and later Duffy were elected for arguing.   They were griping that HPU should have called it safe in the first place, and they were convinced NY screwed them.

That hpu is now responsible for 2 of Moustakis's 3 career ejections.   Of course arguing replay rounds is supposed to be automatic ejection.

I'd have been pissed too, but zero composure on M's part and Duffy just looked like a horse's ass.
