Hopefully no one steps on his dick
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Tough strike 3 to Altuve.

Late movement and it scraped the black of the plate.

At least we don't have to watch the bullpen blow a game tonight.

I think this is the phase of the season where our starting pitching starts coming back to reality.  Offense needs to step it up.

Moreland grounds to SS...shift on, Bregman dives and makes a nice play, but can't get the runner...shiftfuck infield single
Nunez hit by the first pitch on the forearm, Moreland to 2B
Bradley strikes out swinging
Holt...full count...flies to CF...but shift on, so no centerfielder...it bounces to the wall as Springer has to come all the way from RF to try to get it, and Moreland scores, Nunez scores, Holt to 3B with a shiftfuck triple
Swihart...infield in...singles up the middle, Holt scores

Morton out, Sipp in...

Leon flies out F7
Benintendi...0-2...Swihart thrown out trying to steal 2B...

But the wheels come off and the Sox lead 6-1

The yahoos are still talking about the Astros "missing" on Brady Aiken. They are still completely oblivious to Bregman being the compensation pick for Aiken.

Unfortunately, only 1% of the world knows how uniformed the “miss on Aiken but hit on Bregman” take is, but we are the 1%.

Actually Mendoza knows.  She brought it up the last time they talked about it.  I guess it doesn’t fit the theme the play by play idiot has.

There should be Turd Warnings for the entire Southeast Texas Region. The depth and variety of Astros shit raining down today should be studied for posterity.

B7:

Davis grounds out 6-3 on the first pitch
Stassi grounds to 3B and it eats up Nunez...E5
Kemp...3-0...walks, Stassi to 2B
Springer drilled in the shoulder on the first pitch, Stassi to 3B, Kemp to 2B
Bregman singles to LF, Stassi scores, Kemp scores, Springer to 2B

And that's it for Porcello, Barnes in..

Altuve...quickly 0-2...1-2...takes a fucking meatball right down the center of the plate
Correa...quickly 0-2...1-2...2-2...grounds into FC, Bregman out at 2B 6U...Astros challenging...looks safe, but...not enough to overturn...call stands

6-3 Sox

Top 8:
Moreland rips one off the scoreboard in left.  Davis quick to pick it up.  Throws a strike to Altuve at second for the tag. Call it a single and out 7-4.
Nunez singles down the line in left. Davis again quick to the ball holds him to a single.
Bradley Jr strikes out.
Nunez stolen base.
Holt singles to left center. Nunez scores.
Swihart strikes out.
7-3.
Goin' for a bus ride.

Bottom 8:
Gurriel grounds out 6-3.
Gattis after a deep foul strikes out meekly.
Davis battles then rips one hard at Moreland who knocks it down and flips to Barnes just in time to get Davis.
Still 7-3.
Goin' for a bus ride.

Top 9:
Giles in. Non-save situation so buckle up.
Leon drills one to left. Off the scoreboard and again Davis makes a good play and throws a strike to Altuve to hold him to a single.
Benintendi battles but goes down swinging on a quality off speed pitch.
Bogaerts doubles down the line in left.  Leon to third.
Sam Travis pinch hitting for Martinez. Rips a fat fastball up the middle scoring Leon and Bogaerts.
Moreland bounces one to Altuve who turns too quickly to try for the double play drops the ball and has to settle for the out at first.
Nunez strikes out swinging.
Giles is mediocre again in a non save situation.
9-3
Goin' for a bus ride.

This game was pathetic on all counts, not a surprising loss (barring an epic comeback). But it’s last night’s blown opportunity to nail down another Verlander gem that is in my craw tonight. Giving away this series to a split, plus the games to Indians and Yankees, what a craptastic week of baseball.

Bottom 9:
Hembree on to finish it.
Stassi strikes out looking at a hanging breaking ball.
Kemp pops out to the second base man in shallow right.
Springer battles and works a walk.
Bregman battles and also works a walk.
2 on, 2 out.
Altuve flies out to right.
9-3 final.
Goin' for a bus ride.

You were "running the gauntlet", as they kept describing it, against the best teams in the AL.  8-3 was there for the taking, you just had to not fuck it up.  *Boom*, you're 5-6, and you've lost the lead in your division.  The schedule gets a little easier the next few weeks, but the Astros had better pull their heads out of their asses.

1-14 last nite with RISP. Correa is hitting .250 RISP this season. Maybe he shouldn't be hitting 4th.

And with 2 outs, it drops to .174.  His high leverage situation average is .154 and he's slugging .179.  He's hitting .156 in the first inning of games, when there is a runner on base.  In short, Correa continues to get worse and worse in clutch situations.
