The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Is it me, or does Clevinger look like a character from Dazed and Confused?

Either way, he could use a good leave in conditioner.

I thought he could slip into the line up of Spinal Tap pretty easy.

B1:

Springer with a seeing eye single to RF
Springer takes off for 2B, but stops before getting to 2B and runs back to 1B as the throw goes into CF...so...nothing really happened
Bregman...full count...hits one deep to RF...Allen run back and leaps, reaches into the stands and pulls back what would have been a HR
Altuve singles to LF on the first pitch, Springer to 2B
Correa...3-0...walks, Springer to 3B, Altuve to 2B
Gurriel...quickly 0-2...1-2...grounds into 5U-3 double play.

Thud.

Nice catch by Fisher in center.  I can’t say I was that confident a play would be made.

And we need to make the most of our chances against these guys, they said on Strike Zone they are averaging 7 runs a game in May.

Bregman hits a ball almost into the stands and gets and out. Next time up he almost misses the ball, it dribbles out toward short, and he gets a hit. This is a weird game.

Kemp singles to CF
Kemp swipes 2B
Springer...3-0...walks
Bregman grounds Into 5U-4 double play on the first pitch...after a four pitch walk...Kemp out at 3B, Springer out at 2B...a little better throw to 2B and it's a triple play...third double play in five innings
With Altuve at the plate, Bregman picked off of 1B and makes all three outs that inning

1-0 Astros

Triple play, not something you see everyday.

Wasn't a triple play, but might as well have been.

Lindor...0-2...strikes out swinging
Brantley...3-0...3-1...grounds out 3-1 on another diving stop by Marwin, this time to the glove side on the line

1-0 Astros

Yeah, I didn't mean literally but I don't remember see that done before.

Gattis grounded into one earlier this year when he got mad and wandered off of 1B.  Last 5-4-3 I remember was one the Astros perpetrated on Ian KInsler when he was with the Tigers.

Also, Fisher is a black fucking hole against good pitchers.

That's it for Clevinger.. I've heard that the Cleveland bullpen is a hot mess.... so pile on...

And I think we found out why Fisher is on the team...    Routine ground ball to second and beats the throw home!

Your choice as a pitcher: pitch to Altuve with runners on 2nd and 3rd, or pitch to Correa with the bases loaded. Have fun.

B7:

Marwin...works the count full...works a leadoff walk
Fisher...squaring around...3-0...3-1...walks, Marwin to 2B
McCann, pinch hitting for Stassi...quickly down 0-2...1-2...pops up...infield fly rule in effect as Kipnis squeezes it
Kemp doubles down the RF line...Marwin scores, but some fucking idiot asshole interferes with it down the line and they hold Fisher at 3B

That's it for Clevinger...Ramirez in...

Springer...infield in...grounds right to Kipnis at 2B, but Fisher beats the throw!...Indians challenging, and it looks close...hard to tell...call upheld...Kemp to 3B as Springer reaches on the FC
Bregman...infield half way...Springer steals 2B...Bregman strikes out looking
Altuve grounds out 6-3

3-1 Astros

Double and taking third in a throw home also a strong possibility.

What do we call a shiftfuck or whatever we termed it when the fielders were in the right position but the pitcher deflects it to an uncovered area? Is it still a shiftfuck or more of a cockblock?

Astros at 1B and 3B, one out...Gattis hitting for Fisher...

Better drive in some runs because either the defense of the batting is going to be weakened if they tie it up.

Wasn't he traded somewhere else in the offseason?

Guess not..   He was on the DL, came off on the 11th.

B8:

Correa with an infield single on a chopper right down the 3B line
Gurriel singles to CF, Correa to 2B

Ramirez out...Olson in...

Marwin flies out F9, Correa tags and moves to 3B, Yuli stays at 1B
Gattis, pinch hitting for Fisher....which prompts a pitching change

Olson out, Mcallister in...

Gattis...infield back...0-2...1-2...sac fly to RF, Correa scores
McCann...0-2...flies out F8

To the 9th...4-1 Astros

T9:

Giles in to try to close it out...defensive changes: Gurriel comes into the game to play 1B, Marwin to LF and Kemp to CF...no DH rest of the game

Kipnis grounds out 3U
Gomes...0-2...grounds to SS, bounces off the iron bar in Correa's glove...E6
Allen grounds to SS, but the shift...why with that banjo hitter against Giles, no one knows...shiftfuck...Games to 2B
Davis pops out F3 in foul territory
Lindor strikes out swinging

Astros win 4-1

And got a huge strikeout against a pretty damn good hitter to end the game.  Good outing by Giles.

Everybody remembers our closer struggling in the playoffs.

Nevermind that our hitters got to Kimbrel, Chapman and Jansen.

Btw, he has yet to walk a batter this season.

So on the interference, were I the ump, I'd have scored Fisher.  Maybe I'm just a homer, but I think he scores easily.

Well handled by Kemp and the wife of the fan.

He's still an idiot.  Either pay attention when the ball is in play or stay home.
