Big at bat here by Marwin. Last year’s Astros would make a team pay in this situation.

And then he steps on his dick.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Now he’s gotta lead off the next inning. At least could have cleared his spot.

Well, he didn’t succeed either. Hopefully, now that he has a second chance when leading off the 2nd, someone will tell him not to watch a fastball go by without swinging like he did on the first pitch.

I guess no one told him. But Reddick singles and Stassi with a 2-bagger.

Leaving 1B uncovered on a ground ball increases the hit percentage.

Fans had some GP signs; Blum said they were Gary Pettis fans.

Momentarily forgot they were the initials of Gretchen Piscotty who died yesterday of ALS.

He’s had some better at bats lately as well. Hopefully this thing is starting to turn as far as the offense is concerned. One night does not a season make though. I want to see this on a regular basis.

Fans had some GP signs; Blum said they were Gary Pettis fans.

Momentarily forgot they were the initials of Gretchen Piscotty who died yesterday of ALS.

Ah, I see, thanks.

Gattis is hilarious.

Just to add insult to injury, gunned down at the plate for the third out.

You don't see that every day.

The bench is trying to get him to go for three.

That's the only reason I stayed up.

Glad I did.

He has more hits than the A’s.  Also, the only other Astro with 6 hits was Joe Morgan, but it took him 12 innings. George gets his in 9.

They could possibly send Sipp in. Or even Smith.

Here's a shocker, Sipp is fucking terrible.

Two fucking smoked lasers to drive in a run, even if Fisher should've caught the first one.

Sipp is terrible. But instead of focusing on the negative like SOME people I will instead incline towards the positive as is my wont and celebrate the six hit effort. Not to be morbid, but it is entirely possible that none of us will ever see another Astro get six hits in a game.

That was way better than a cycle. The only individual offensive achievement I can think of that would surpass it might be a four home run day.

I liked Altuve bowing to him from first base.

I am hoping the A's are helpful in waking the bats for a long time.  They may be just what the WS hangover (or whatever the reason is for the pre-2017 batting issues are) need.

I liked the Astros Twitter account asking MLB if they could count three of Springer’s singles as one triple.
