Underway.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Oh, great, unlimited replays for the Rangers. We'll be here all night.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

Perfect timing for Verlander to get a start.

Now let's light this candle (or cnadle if you prefer).

Right now there’s no reason to think he won’t perfect them. This is as bad as I’ve ever seen them.

The rangers are playing 2 rookies who didn't have an mlb hit before this series.  Their best player broke his elbow before the series.  Their centerfielder hasn't played since the first series.

They suck.  There is no excuse.

Has to be a cut fastball. Relatively speaking, it could be a change up for many mlb pitchers, but it’s close to Colon’s peak velocity.

Cut fastballs can move either direction. I’m sure you know that, and it’s probably just a matter of nomenclature.

I want to say they need to hit better and they do but colon is also hitting his spots to near perfection.

15 batters ahead of all and 10 0-2.

And at least one has put the first pitch in play and three put the second pitch in play. That’s throwing strike one and strike two to 14 out of the 15 hitters.

Seems like we all need to eat frito pie tomorrow.

If we get no hit by a 44 year old slop-throwing colon, I have no idea what our path forward should be.

You must be living right in order for your phone to autocorrect any possible adjective applicable for the Rangers right now to “giving.”

i didn't notice that auto-correct  because those two words don't belong together.

did the baseball gods forget about the generosity the rangers provided last September?

How you can take an 88mph fastball, right down the middle, on a 3-2 count, from a guy who throws 85% fastballs is mind boggling.

Staring down the barrel of the wrong side of history, of course it’s a nationally televised game. And when your own starter has only given up one walk and a solo hr and K 10. There aren’t enough expletives to describe how I feel.

Kinda disappointed Reddick wasn’t in position to advance when Tocci dropped that ball. Astros would be leading now.

Banister is getting the matchups he wants.

Considering how good the rotation has been it might be a good idea to demote Fisher and Hoyt and bring up Tucker and a guy like Kemp.

Apply that sentiment to Bregman.

B9:

Marisnick to pinch hit for Fisher...Rangers counter with a pitching change...Claudio out, Kela in

Marisnick...chasing curveballs in the dirt: behind 1-2...2-2...3-2...strikes out swinging. Imagine that
Springer...3-1...full up...walks
Bregman...2-0...lines out to RF
Altuve...quickly down 0-2...singles to LF, Springer to 2B
Correa...2-0...pops to shallow CF

Extra baseball

T10:

Rondon in...Marisnick stays in the game in CF, Springer moves to RF, and Reddick to LF

Gallo hits a rocket to RF for a single on the first pitch
Guzman with a rule-double, Gallo to 3B
Chirinos...infield in...hits another rocket, this one over Marisnick’s head, Gallo scores, Guzman scores
Kinder-Falefa bunts, but right back to Rondon..1-3, runner has to hold at 2B
Tocci strikes out swinging
Choo flies out F9

But the Rangers lead 3-1

Yesterday Correa taps out 1-3 with tie/go ahead runs on base,  tonight,  that can of corn on a 2-0 pitch.

He's been the most productive SS since he ended the league,  but he's brutal right now.

Right now I'd be relieved if we found out he was hiding an injury.
He's starting to scare me.

Overall we're right back to the 2015-2016 offense. Keep them in the ballpark, catch the ball and they're done.
They've pretty much gone an entire week scoring on nothing but home runs and errors.

B10:

Diekman in...

Reddick with an excuse me swing taps one up the 1B line for a lead off single
Gurriel strikes out swinging on a pitch that I think hit his foot
Marwin... works the count full...flies out F7
Gattis...pinch hitting for McCann...quickly down 0-2...1-2 as Reddick moves to 2B...grounds to 3B, Beltre kicks it...E5
Marisnick...3-1...3-2 on a called strike 3 ft off the plate...ridiculous...strikes out swinging.

Astros go down 3-1

Marwin and Jake both got hossed.  Everyone knew Jake wasn't going to get a hit after that ball 4 was called incorrectly.

Now, it's after 10 and I'm pissed.  Not sure how long it is going to take me to go to sleep.

When your starting pitchers strike out 38 in three games but you lose two out of three and avoid getting swept only by dumb luck...
When the Clark is dead, Spack will eat his spleen. Before he dies, Spack will put his posts under the knife so the Clark will see his threads wiped out forever...

Heck,  that walk off pop up may have been the most clutch hit we've had in 2 weeks.

Where's my tums?

Some crappy officiating in that game too... remind me again how many steps you can take on a layup?

Or there in the last minute...TWolf guy gets a rebound on a missed free throw, but thinks it was the first...takes three or four steps with the ball and tries to hand the ball to the official.  Nobody was paying attention.
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

That was comically bad

Dantoni laughed after the game, said the officials said “yeah, we’re not sure what he was thinking, but there was confusion so we didn’t want to call it.”  Unbelievable.

I don’t think Harden fans want traveling called tightly.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Cut fastballs can move either direction. I’m sure you know that, and it’s probably just a matter of nomenclature.

No. A cutter moves only glove side. A two-seamer moves arm side.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
