So, some talking heads have ranked Altuve behind Trout as the top player in MLB.  Fine.  Take a look at this clip from 1:50 to 2:10 as Altuve jumps on first pitches to a .449 average.  Say what you will about Trout (who is in deed incredible) but the diversity of pitches that Altuve jumps on is amazing from FB's to curves to sliders.  Just amazing to watch in rapid succession.

I can understand why people put Trout #1: he's got more power, and he plays a more valuable defensive position (and plays it well). But I'm sure glad the Astros have Altuve. He's a fantastic player.
