Who else is in the market?  The inflexible Red Sox offer is 5 years at $125M.  Bleacher Report says Boras wants $200M.  So do I.

Perhaps JD doesn't understand that getting a team to bid against itself is difficult.

I haven't followed this closely, but someone wants to give JD 125 over 5, and he is upset about that? 

Didn't Springer just get 12 per year, and he is twice as valuable as JD.

Yeah, I'm real upset the Astros let JD go, not.  That is a very nice contract offer.  The Red Sox should say,  offer is off the table.
