Seven (I think) teams in, including the Rangers but not the Astros, and every other team is out per Rosenthal. I hope SF gets him. Mariners are thought to be the leader.

If the Astros are out, I am rooting for any team in the NL.  Glad to see that he didn't sign with the Yankees -- especially after the local media here considered it a foregone conclusion that Ohtani was coming to the Yankees.

L.A. Times is reporting that Ohtani is going to sign with the Angels. Wow.

As I told my dad, I hate to see the Astros now having to face him all the time, but I'm glad I'll get the chance to see him a lot. It'll be fascinating to see how well he does, and how often he pitches and hits.

I assume this means that Pooholes will play 1B a fair bit while Ohtani DHs. They could play Ohtani in RF (sitting Calhoun), but taxing your best pitcher like that doesn't seem like a great idea.
