Top of the 3rd.  Aaron Judge just struck out for second time.  Inconceivable.

And Didi Gregorius takes a bad pitch out for the second time.  2-0 Yanks.

That guy in the right field seats may want to get a helmet next time Gregorius comes up.

I have listened to the Indians broadcast over the last couple of games and, while I did not originally white them, they grew on me a little bit. Not much, but a little bit. I thought I would listen to the Yankees broadcast for this game and, oh my goodness, it is bad.  Like high school announcer bad. I had to switch back to the Indians broadcast.

A little of both.  Errors and good at bats.

Damn.  How do you take a 2-strike fastball from Chapman right down the middle?  Were you unaware he had that pitch in his repertoire?

Weird strategy.  Looks like they were determined to see if Chapman could throw strikes after the lead off walk.

Indians had been living a charmed life.  It caught up with them.

The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

So, did the Indians just meltdown defensively, are the Yankees getting hot/lucky or is it a mix of both?

Yankees definitely are hot, but Cleveland helped.

NYY is a dangerous team. Do not take them lightly.

Right.  Bumping off the Indians is no small feat.

Well, the Astros get their wish for home field advantage.    Plus the note about going through Boston and New York to get the World Series raising Houston's status is now a reality..
Let's focus on the Yankees for the next week and not look forward too quickly.

The Indians looked like they had already lost in the top of the 9th. Every face they showed, looked beaten, rather than determined. I think they were shellshocked that this was happening and the ABs in the 9th are the result.

Sucks for them to go out with such a whimper

Sometimes you just gotta borrow Ezra Pound:

Yankits is icummen in,
Lhude sing damm.
Pitchem tight and hitem hard,
And how the wins do ram!
Sing: damm.

He makes them much better than they were. We need to be ahead early. Their bullpen is very good.

It will be fun watching them try to squeeze that cheese past Altuve.

So Judge was 1 for 22?
