That lead off homer was, of course, a Hahn solo.

B1:

Springer homers to RF
Reddick...misses a home run by about .0048 inch, may have scraped some paint from the pole...then strikes out swinging
Altuve doubles to RF on the first pitch
Correa...3-0...3-1...infield single to SS's backhand...Barreto fields it, but no chance to get Correa...Altuve has to hold at 2B
McCann...quickly 0-2...1-2...seeing eye single to RF, Altuve scores, Correa to 3B
Beltran...0-2...1-2...pops out F4
Marwin...3-0...flies out F9 as Kalas cries yard

2-0 Astros

Gurriel grounds out 5-3 on the first pitch
Aoki singles to RF
Springer doubles off the top of the LCF wall...missed a HR by about two feet...Aoki to 3B
Reddick...infield in...3-1...lines out to deep RF, Aoki scores, Springer to 3B
Altuve reaches on E6, Springer scores...now inexplicably scored a hit...home cooking and our lovable idiot scorekeeper
Correa grounds into FC, Altuve out 6-4

Based on the entire season, I'm pretty sure our resident scorekeeper doesn't know the difference between a hit and an error.

T3:

Barreto grounds out 5-3 on a NICE stab by Marwin on a bullet right at him
Brugman with a Texas Leaguer into CF
Joyce with another flair to CF, Brugman to 2B
Olson...0-2...1-2...strikes out looking
Lowrie singles to LF, Aoki comes in and tries to catch it but misses it, it trickles behind him...Brugman scores, Joyce to 2B...not sure if that'll be scored an error or not...had he fielded it cleanly, he'd have been in deep SS
Davis drills another screaming line drive over the wall in LF...Joyce scores, Lowrie scores
Alonso...0-2...1-2...strikes out swinging

But the wheels fall off with two out...5-4 A's

It seems like Paulino gives up at least a run the next inning every time the offense scores for him.

Why is Gregerson on the bench and not in the bullpen?

Guys don't usually move to the bullpen in the third inning.

I'm genuinely concerned that Gary Pettis has brain damage.

B3:

McCann singles to RF
Beltran singles up the middle, McCann to 2B

And that's all for Hahn, Smith in

Marwin doubles off the LF wall, McCann scores, Beltran to 3B\
Gurriel grounds out 4-3, Beltran scores, Marwin to 3B
Aoki...infield in...lines one off the pitcher's leg, right to the SS...Aoki out 1-6-3...Marwin has to hold...tough luck there
Springer doubles down LF line, Marwin scores
Reddick singles to LF, Springer scores...not sure why Reddick didn't make 2B on that, other than Springer was just jogging home, so he couldn't risk getting thrown out
Altuve...2-0...literally stands with the bat on his shoulder and watches a 2-0 meatball...3-1...fouls off ball four...full count...walks, Reddick to 2B
Double steal...Reddick takes 3B, Altuve swipes 2B
Correa...0-2...1-2...2-2...singles to RF, Reddick scores, Altuve thrown out at the plate by 30 feet.

Astros up 9-5

so if you were going to take your wife somewhere special for her 60th birthday, would you go to 1) Morocco, 2) Vienna/Prague/Budapest, or 3) fishing in New Zealand?  I'm asking for a friend.

It is supposed to be.

A friend of mine is in a position to do more than merely suppose. He's been bugging me to fish with him in Tasmania for years. He goes to New Zealand regularly but as far as I know he's not fished there which is one reason among several that I don't know shit about the fishing in New Zealand.

She does.

Then go fishing. There are some fantastic hikes on the South island, too. My daughter and a friend did the Kepler track in the Fjordlands a few years ago. That's likely more than you want to do, but I think there are less ambitious tracks worth taking too.

And that will be it for Paulino.  Bullpen will have to pitch a full fucking five innings at a minimum.

Still not sure why your group insists on having its work day coincide with banking hours in Reykjavik.

A couple of years ag we had a summer intern who wanted to ride to the office with me and a co-worker.  We said, "OK, meet us at the park and ride at 5:15."  She said "Do you know what time I'd have to get up to be there at 5;15?"  I said "I'm guess at about 4:00...what's the problem?"  Not sure she's still interested in working in the oil business.

Scotland is also solid, as is BC, look into Argentina.

We've fished in Argentina.  It's January, so Scotland and BC would be . . . cold.

We were in Patagonia, near Bariloche.  I liked fishing there because you broke at noon for a bottle of wine.

Reddick manufactures a run, taking 3B on a throw back to the pitcher, then scoring on a medium fly ball to LF

Astros lead 10-7
Will Harris on to pitch, and he'll face...

Joyce hits one right at Marwin, the only guy on the left side of the infield. 5-3, 1 out.
Olson PONCHE on a 3-2 count. 2 outs, K numero 13.
Lowrie destroys a 2-2 pitch to deep right, GONE. Paulino's shitty pitch sense is tingling in the clubhouse. 10-8 Astros.
Davis (destroyer of pitches tonight) quickly down 0-2, did he go? nope. 1-2. Swing anna miss.

Bottom 7

Marwin pops a 0-2 pitch to first. 3U. 1 out.
Yuli drilled to right over the RF's head and a big bounce off the wall. Easy double for La Pina! Runner on 2nd, 1 out for
Aoki (Mr. Bad Luck) slashes one to left RIGHT AT the left fielder. Seriously. 3 Good swings today that lead to shit. 2 outs.
Springer (HR, 2x2B) 3-1 count, takes ball 4 up and away. 1st and 2nd, 2 outs.
Mound visit.
Reddick slaps one in the RCF gap, down for a single! RBI for Josh! 11-8 as Yuli scores! Springer takes 3rd without a throw.
And here comes Bob Melvin for a pitching change.

Astros lead 11-8.
Going to the pen again... Gregerson in to pitch the 8th.
Marisnik in to play center. Springer in right. Reddick in left.

Alonzo works the count to 2-2. Fouls one hard off his front shin. Down in a heap. That looks like it seriously fucking hurt. He's struggling to get up. Shocked if he stays in. Heading to the dugout.

Beltran smokes one right handed to the wall in deep right center, K Davis hauls it in. Good swing. 3 outs.

Left handed.

That ridiculous catch totally changed the inning.

That's the Giles we need to see more often.
I remember all the good times me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy
But the future has to change - and to change I've got to destroy
Oh look out Lennon here I come - land ahoy-hoy-hoy

I've heard mixed reviews of Morocco as a place for women to visit.

I've heard if you take the train from Casablanca going south you can blow smoke rings from the corners of you-you-you-your mouth.
Everyone's talking, few of them know
The rest are pretending, they put on a show
And if there's a message I guess this is it
